IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN BERITA HOAX DI MEDIA SOSIAL PADA DINAS KOMUNIKASI INFORMATIKA DAN STATISTIK KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS

Abstract

The objective of the study is to determine the implementation of Hoax news policy due to the news management of Public Communication Management section of Information, Communication and Statistic State Office in Musi Rawas south Sumatera. A qualitative method was used in this research. Collected data technique was carried out through conducting observation, carrying out the interview, and verifying documentation. Primary data of this study were the field notes of observation and  the respond of the interviewees. Documentation was used as secondary data of the research. Data was analyzed through reduction, display, and verification drawing. The research showed that based on the policy, procedure, infrastructure, and human resources  that it was implemented in accordance with the regulation of ITE and the minister of communication. The infrastructure aspect was suitable but it was needed to be completed as the human resource support. The education level of human resource was proposed to be developed in fulfill the requirements of competency and skills.
