STRATEGI PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PILKADA SERENTAK (Studi Kasus Pilkada Di Masa Pemdemi Covid-19 Pada KPU Kab. Musi Rawas Utara)

Abstract

This study aims to find out in depth the Strategy of Community Participation in Simultaneous Pilkada (CaseStudy of Regional Head Elections during the Covid-19 Pandemic at the North Musi Rawas Regency KPU). Thisresearch uses descriptive method and analyzed qualitatively. Collecting data using observation techniques,interviews, documentation and types of primary and secondary data sources. Also, the data analysistechniques used in this study include data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. Theresults showed that the Community Participation Strategy in Simultaneous Regional Elections during theCovid-19 Pandemic Period in Musi Rawas Utara Regency showed that the community actively participated asevidenced by the public awareness in voting that 254,835 was obtained, there was no coercion on thecommunity to make their choice on December 9, 2020 The public cares about elections by complying withhealth protocols that are carried out strictly with various PPE, the abstention rate is less than 20%, duringthe implementation of the stages of selecting the Regent and Deputy Regent of North Musi Rawas Regency in2020 there were no demonstrations.
