ABSTRACT
This study is purposed to determine the impact of job training program organized by the Labor State Office in creating the event that can improve the skills and competitiveness of the workforce, thereby reducing unemployment. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The independent variable in this study is job training, and the dependent variable is unemployment. The sample size for this study is 122 respondents. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in this study is simple linear regression analysis to see the impact of the job training program (X) as the independent variable on the unemployment rate (Y) as the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that there is a correlation between variable X (vocational training) and variable Y (unemployment). This is evidenced by the simple linear regression analysis, which yields the equation Y = 7.482 + 0.417 X, and the results of the t-test, where the calculated t-value = 9.981 > the table t-value = 1.657 with a significance level of sig = 0.000. The coefficient of determination test indicates that the job training program has a 45.4% influence on the unemployment variable. Additionally, the F- calculated value of 99.627 is greater than the F-table value of 3.92, indicating that all independent variables simultaneously and significantly influence the dependent variable.
