LIVESTOCK FARMING BUSINESS PROFILE OF MADURA CATLLE IN TAMPOJUNG GUWA VILLAGE, PAMEKASAN REGENCY, MADURA, EAST JAVA PROVINCE
Abstract
The community service was conducted in Tampojung Guwa Village, Waru District, Pamekasan Regency. The aim of this service was to assess the profile and background of Madura cattle farming in Tampojung Guwa Village with the goal of improving their farming practices. The respondents in this service were the cattle farmers in Tampojung Guwa Village, and the methods used included observation and surveys. The survey was divided into two methods: oral and written. The oral survey was conducted through direct interviews, while the written survey used open-ended questionnaires distributed to the Madura cattle farmers. The obtained data was processed and presented in the form of descriptions, tables, and figures. Observations were made through direct observations during the interview process and visits to the cattle farms, where the Madura cattle were raised using traditional and independent systems. Based on the data, the majority of Madura cattle farmers were above 40 years old, with experience in cattle farming and higher motivation compared to those in their twenties.
